Following the triumph in the Europa League, Manchester United’s manager, Jose Mourinho, has now set his sights in strengthening his squad further and acquiring talent.

According to reports, the Portuguese manager came up with a list of potential players to join the Reds following the summer transfer season and has forwarded it to the club’s executive vice-president, Ed Woodward.

Mourinho is said to have come up with a spending plan of more than £200 million in order to transform the club for next season’s campaign.

Sources said that on top of the list drawn up is 26-year old Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid. The French player is under contract with the Spanish club until 2021 but has expressed his willingness to move to Old Trafford should the opportunity arise.

Griezmann wowed players and fans in his 2015-16 season which saw him included in the Ballon d’Or nominees on the third spot, following superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Even the Spanish players of Manchester United are excited to have Griezmann on board.

Ander Herrera could not hide his admiration for the French forward.

“Griezmann is a brilliant player; a phenomenon. He is a star and all the teams in the world would want him,” said Herrera to Cadena Ser.

He added, “I’ve said it in the past, after Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, he is in that group of those that can become possible successors.”

Meanwhile, 24-year old defender Michael Keane from Burnley is also said to have caught the eye of Mourinho. Keane has expressed his desire to move from his club and is expected to receive an offer from the United manager anytime soon.

The Reds’ manager is also rumored to have set his sights on Chelsea defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic, following the club’s win in the English Premier League. But very few know if Mourinho would be willing to shell out the £40 million for the buy-out clause of the Serbian player.

But as Antonio Conte planned on strengthening the Blues to defend their title next year, acquiring Matic may be a lot easier than some other pundits think.

“Matic is considered a more attainable target in summer when Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is expected to make significant additions to his Premier League title winners,” wrote James Robson in the Manchester Evening News.

And with N’Golo Kante’s impressive performance in the last season, the Blues might just be willing to let go of Matic and free an additional £40 million for other players.

In Germany, Bayern Munich’s midfielder Renato Sanches fueled rumors that he is set to leave the Allianz Arena and move to Old Trafford after fans noticed him “liking” the English Club’s Instagram posts.

Keen-eyed observers noticed Sanches’ social media activity after United won against Ajax in the Europa League. Many took this as a sign that the Portuguese player is ready to bid goodbye to the Bundesliga powerhouse following a lackluster performance this season.

Other sources also noted that United could bid alongside Tottenham Spurs for Bayern’s Douglas Costa.

The Reds are also rumored to have offered £60 million to Paris Saint-Germain in order to acquire center back Marquinhos from the French powerhouse. Should the transfer push through, the Brazilian’s move could break Chelsea’s record in getting the most expensive defender following David Luiz’ shift for £50 million.
